My co-worker Judy Meiksin's play, "Jonathan," had its Premiere last night at the New Theater (542 Penn Avenue, across from Heinz Hall.) There will be 11 more performances.
Shows begin at 8 p.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays through the 25th. There will also be matinees at 2 p.m. every Sunday through the 26th.
Here's the synopsis:
"During the time of Israel's Independence in 1947, 19-year-old Jonathan, an orphan of the Holocaust, wants to learn what happened to his parents. But his adoptive family tries to deter him from his mission, shielding him from a mysterious woman from Europe."
Call 412-288-0358 for tickets and info. Tickets are $12.50 in advance, $15 at the door. Be there.

Thanks to the many of you who sent along well-wishes for the hound. Looks like he's healthy as can be, and will be pissing on our foyer tiles for many more years to come.
An acquaintance of mine has a role in your co-worker's play, and she'd invited me to attend a few weeks ago. I haven't run into her since then, so this reminder is very timely!
My nephew's ancient Great Dane passed away the other day, as did my boss's 8 year old "mutt". I'm glad to hear that your Smithers will be hanging around, leaking on your floors, loving your kids.
